Onions in balsamic vinegar

Simple and special recipe with balsamic vinegar and onions from Boretto (RE)

Ingredients

  • 250 g onions (already cleaned)
  • half a tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1 knob of butter
  • cup balsamic vinegar or dressing Giareto
  • half a glass of water
  • a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Put the onions in a saucepan full of water and boil. As soon as the boil comes turn off the heat and leave some 'rest. In a saucepan put the thread of olive oil and the butter, when the latter is dissolved to join the onions and brown them.

Combine the onions, sugar, honey and seasoning, mix well, add salt and pepper and add water. Let finish cooking for 10/15 minutes and serve warm with a sprinkle of chopped parsley to taste.
